I, Suddhi Gueasakoon am the first person providing a Full moon party, My initial purpose is for farewell party to my friends. My Friends and I had an idea of having a party on the full moon night of every month. Since then, over 130 times of party have been provided. Staring from 50 persons, now there are about 30,000-50,000 people joining Full moon Party. At New Year 2000, there were up to 60,000 people.
As a result of increasingly numbers of tourists visiting Pha-ngan in the past 14 years, most of Pha-ngan local turned their lives into tourism business that has made their way of life become far more better nowadays. The Full moon Party is now the request that can not be denied. The Pha-ngan pepople are proud and accept it. There is no reason to refuse that as we create an agreeable tradition for worldwide people.
Koh Pha-ngan has been growing by itself which we are so proud of it despite no government's concerns. On the contrary, tourism brings large amount of money for the government, especially in the Full Moon Party night. But many news reporters totally misunderstand to this viewpoint when broadcasting. None of us are proud of them.
The wonderful Pha-ngan island is so natural. Most foreign visitors always return for the second time after having exposed to its beauty which is our impression.
Most tourists come from England to join Full Moon Party. There is only 0.01% of Thai visitors. Some of them fells that Koh Pha-ngan is not Thailand but the land where many nations join together, with smile and love among natural resort. The party is not meant to have only drink and dance. Pha-ngan is a pure natural resort filled with various kind of beauty along its beaches. King Rama the fifth had a royal visit here 14 times.
We are proud to present the party in form of the island's local tradition to attract foreigners's attention.
Singha beer and Mae Khong Thai whiskey has become the most popular beverages among the tourists at Koh Pha-ngan since the first Full Moon Party. But now there are much more kind of beers, vodka and Shark available.
Most tourists usually spend 10 days to one month at Koh Pha-ngan which is always on high season following the monthly arranged Full Moon Party. Cash flows on each Full Moon Party is around 15-20 million baht. Only Hat Rin is not enough to serve large numbers of tourists who come one week before the Full Moon Party even in the next morning after the party. After that, I can not tell where have they gone, but you must answer by yourself.
